See What We're Growing
Proud to announce our retail debut at @ajsfinefoods ! Now you can get our Butterhead Lettuce whenever you want, if you try it send us a picture of your creations 🥗🥦🥒🥕🌱
Our Aquaponics bay looks like a little forest... all of the plants are so happy with this awesome spring weather and sunshine! ☀️🌱 Lets just hope it doesn’t get too hot for another few months 🤞🏼😓
Sometimes when the weather turns from gloomy☁️ to sunny☀️, our Basil has a little growth burst! 💚✨🌱
This is Isaiah, and he deserves a shout out. This guy has been working with Merchant’s Garden since the beginning, and his work ethic is legit inspiring. But what’s even more inspiring he is how active Isaiah is in the Tucson food growing and food justice community. We have no doubt he’s going to have a huge impact on this city for years to come, and we are so lucky to have him on our team! #rockstar #foodjustice
A rainy day in the desert 🌵🌧💧
Yummm the Bistro Salad at @cafealacarttucson was incredible. Their patio is just steps away from the @tucsonmuseumofart in the middle one of the most beautiful & historic neighborhoods in Tucson. You could easily spend a whole day exploring and relaxing in this little nook of town 🌀🌱🥗🌞
Tiny heart-shaped Thai Basil 💕
One benefit of working at the greenhouse while it’s still dark out are these amazing Arizona Sunrises! They always give us a little boost 🌞☕️🌱
Cutest seedling award goes to....*drumroll*.... Kale!
We can’t stop thinking about this insanely good Mixta Salad from Penca Restaurante. What you can’t see is the cubes beet, jicama, and green onion on the bed of the salad 🥗
Hmmm Bok Choy. So delicious, and SO nutritious. What’s your favorite way to prepare this pretty green? One of my favs is actually grilled Bok Choy. It’s amazing! 🤤
Sooo... we are at 100% capacity right now in the greenhouse. 10,000 square feet and it’s completely full of plants! 😳
Many of our chef customers order our Garden Box. It’s a mix of everything in the greenhouse that is at its peak of freshness. So many creative dishes have come from these garden boxes!
Who else loves watching things grow?? I guess it’s a good thing, but they grow up so fast! 🌱😂
We regularly pack up 1,200 pounds of lettuce for the Tucson Unified School District, which typically takes 8 people, 5 hours, if plenty of coffee and cookies are provided! Luckily it’s always fun when the friends and family of Merchant’s Garden rally together and get stuff done! 💪🏼🙌🏽😁
The simple salad from Time Market 😍 it’s one of our favorites
Believe it or not this is baby Kale. It just developed some curly leafs that seem more “Kale-like” but initially it looks like a completely different plant!
Yummm. Check out the BLTA from Time Market. They make their bread in house, and we deliver lettuce to them a couple times a week, so this sandwich is (literally & figuratively) super fresh 😎
